Requirements for Application: works must be lacquered with Urushi Number of applications received: 215 from 11 nations and regions (145 of which are from Japan)

Design Category: Where the work is a commercial product that can be produced and distributed systematically
Art Category: Where expression is the primary objective of the work

Venue : Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts
(Urushi art works from the Design Center Ishikawa Collection as well as new urushi products from Ishikawa prefecture will be exhibited.)

An exhibition catalog will be published, containing pictures of all the works submitted to the final assessment.
